Free racing tips: Man On The Spot previews every race from Deauville on Monday

Andre Fabre is backed to claim French 1000 Guineas glory at Deauville - our resident expert provides a tip for every race.

12.30 (All times BST, live on Sky Sports Racing, click for full racecard): FORZA CAPITANO, a four-times winner, last won at Chantilly in March last year when half-a-length in front of today's rival Bakoel Koffie but has subsequently only raced at Listed or Group level. This is a big drop in class and he'll be better for last month's comeback at Longchamp. Simply Striking, a winner at Craon in September, was in good form on the all-weather at the backend of the year while Kenbaio and Wind Test fought out a finish over 5f here last summer with the runner-up now having a fitness advantage.

13.00: The Room appeared to show some improvement on the all-weather at Marseille last time. Situmeledemandais wasn't beaten far at Lyon last week and won't need to do much more to get competitive though LETTYT FIGHT should be up to conceding weight all round. He completed an all-weather double earlier this year and was narrowly beaten into third back on Turf at Pornichet in March. Forever Coco finished second in a Vichy claimer ten days ago while Jussifer showed his first sign of ability on his handicap debut at Chateaubriant last week.

13.35: A very moderate all-weather handicap. Trou Aux Biches has been well beaten in claimers recently though the booking of Barzalona is interesting. JUST FOR DREAM wasn't beaten far on his handicap debut here last month and being by Camelot is likely to make progress this season so gets the nod. Takedown ran well on the all-weather at Lyon La Soie in February but didn't react well to blinkers on Turf at Salon-De-Provence nine days ago.

14.15: Alfieri has been in unstoppable form this year but only had half-a-length to spare over Zalamea at Longchamp last month having beaten him 8 lengths earlier so the assessor probably has hold of him. Arise, beaten a neck over the course and distance last summer, reappeared with a victory over this trip on soft ground at Saint-Cloud and can get into contention though Mikael Barzalona, who rode him, sticks with the former Charlie Appleby-trained DATHANNA (NAP), who made a successful debut for his new yard on heavy going at Clairefontaine in October before just beaten in a Listed contest at Saint-Cloud. She'll be better for her reappearance and gets the vote. Rocquemont failed by a neck under a big weight at Marseille Borely last month and can go well while both Zavrinka and Carlton Choice, like the selection, have been racing in better company and We Ride The World has won four times since October.

14.50: Last year's top juvenile Victor Ludorum produced a lacklustre performance on his comeback in a Longchamp Group 3 three weeks ago, finding nothing in the closing stages behind all-the-way winner The Summit and the strong-finishing ECRIVAIN with Kenway, who didn't get the best of runs, upsides in fourth. Andre Fabre's charge will need to do a lot better if he's to redeem his reputation though it was a messy sort of race and he pulled for his head. He had just under a length to spare over Alson in the Group 1 Jean-Luc Lagarde at Longchamp in October and the latter, who has changed stables, then beat sole rival Armory by 20 lengths on very heavy ground in the Group 1 Criterium International. Arapaho, yet another from the Fabre yard and owned by Coolmore, had a battle to land a Listed contest at Longchamp last month and takes a big step-up in class. ECRIVAIN ran a seriously good trial at Longchamp, staying on late with his rider not touching him, and that kindness can be repaid here.

15.25: TROPBEAU completed a double over 7f here last summer before a fine run when dropping back to 6f in the Cheveley Park. She warmed up for this with a narrow Group 3 victory over Dream And Do and Tickle Me Green at Longchamp and looks the one to beat though the placed horses were close enough to merit the greatest respect. The unbeaten Simeen has a superb pedigree though takes a big step-up in grade from her minor victories while Marieta was over 2 lengths behind the selection in a Group 2 here in August. Emoji was in the lead at this trip on her return at Longchamp and didn't last out the extra furlong.

16.00: VIENNE landed a heavy-ground maiden at Compiegne in October and was a short price for her reappearance over this trip at Saint-Cloud but couldn't cope with Irska, who was race-fit having made a successful debut in March. Dawn Intello, who made a winning start on the all-weather here in November, was probably in need of his comeback at Saint-Cloud and is expected to do much better. Episodia, a debut winner at Fontainebleau, ran in a Listed race at Toulouse next time and wasn't disgraced but Salesman has been extremely disappointing having been a beaten favourite in all four starts.

16.35: This is for Arab-breds. DERYAN finished a long way back in third in a Group 2 last time with Ibn Gadir close-up fourth and both Melabi and Shalaa well beaten. He had earlier beaten Hajres 3 lengths at Pau so looks the one to be on despite Soumillon taking over on the runner-up.

17.10: A modest all-weather handicap though several arrive in good form. Lady Arkadina had been running moderately on artificial surfaces before returning to Turf last month and scoring at Longchamp with Andre Doria 3 lengths back in third. The latter had NEW TRAFFORD a short-head behind at Marseille on Boxing Day but the runner-up has much the better of the weights here so gets the vote. Always Somewhere, a winner on Fibresand at Chantilly in February, had Ale Tango and Andrea Doria in the minor places so has to enter the equation though she finished just behind Emmasamiclau in a bunch finish at Longchamp three weeks ago.

17.45: Long-time maiden Where Is Charlie finished runner-up to Lady Arkadina at Longchamp last month so a big run from the winner in the previous race will boost her chances. However, SILVER PLACIS wasn't far behind in fourth and as that was his first start since June he can reverse the form and take this. Burma Moon ran quite well at Chantilly last time and won't need to do much more while Soumillon's presence on River Of Silver suggests connections mean business. The lightly-raced Georginela has a bit of scope, unlike most of these.
