There's £50,000 on offer in this weekend's free-to-play ITV7 and Dave Smith has the guide you need for the crucial races.
13:55 Ayr - Jordan Electrics Doonside Cup Stakes (Listed) - 1m 2f
Although shouldering a penalty, ADDEYBB has had a fine season, landing two Group 1s down under. He's a very consistent sort and he's well in with all his rivals on official ratings despite the extra 7lb he has to carry. Fox Chairman has had a good season too but couldn't land a Group 3 last time. He'll be a strong challenger at his best and Lord Glitters is a well known Group performer.
14:15 Newbury - Dubai Duty Free Handicap - 1m2f
Ordinarily it would be wise to shy away from a top weight in a tight handicap, but two reasons make MAYDANNY an interesting contender. One is he is trained by Mark Johnston, and he has a knack of getting horses to bounce back from a poor run last time, and secondly he appeared extremely well handicapped when beating some good handicappers at Goodwood on his penultimate start. Connections are seemingly bullish, despite his frustrating early years.
14:30 Ayr - QTS Ayr Silver Cup Handicap - 6f
KING'S LYNN looks to be thrown in here after an impressive start to life on the racecourse. His second place to Starman is of particular interest given the winner has gone in again in Listed company. The pair were clear at Doncaster and he is rightly very prominent in the betting from stall 6.
14:50 Newbury - Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup Stakes (Formerly the Arc Trial) (Group 3) - 1m 3f
Another very tricky race and cases can be made for all four. ELARQAM is likely to bounce back from a poor run last time and has solid Group form to bring to the table. A return to a sounder surface and a drop back in trip are both positives and he can get the better of red hot Extra Elusive and tricky customer Desert Encounter.
Top-rated UMM KULTHUM looks to be a potentially smart individual after a fine run in the Lowther Stakes at York. This is a drop in class and she appears the best of these. Red Fascinator and Scarlett Bear are two that may be progressive too with the former better than the bare result at Ripon last time suggests after stumbling nearing the furlong pole.
15:25 Newbury - Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes (Group 2) - 6f
PJ McDonald gave a glowing report on RHYTHM MASTER and he's the form pick of these. He was thrown into a Group 1 contest in France and coped with it admirably, returning place money for connections. A strong challenge may come from Archie Watson's Devilwala who was expensive as a yearling and has decent form to call upon too after his second to Minzall at York.
15:40 Ayr - QTS Ayr Gold Cup Handicap (Heritage Handicap) - 6f
A fiercely competitive renewal, as expected. BARBILL seems to tick a lot of boxes. He was a strong winner on his seasonal debut and that race has worked out very well. He'll need a career best to land this but he's drawn well in stall 12 and was running on well in The Portland Handicap last week. He's a tentative selection in an open heat with Mr Lupton and Staxton the main dangers.
