Matt Temple-Marsh makes his selections for the final week of the NFL regular season, with Sunday's action in focus.

NFL betting tips: Week 18

2pts Carl Lawson 1+ sack in Jets @ Dolphins at 6/5 (bet365)

1.5pts Jamaal Williams anytime touchdown in Lions @ Packers at 6/5 (QuinnBet)

New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins

One defensive player that is closing in on a huge sack incentives:

  • Carl Lawson needs one sack to earn $600k

The Jets DE has seven sacks on the year and faces Miami Dolphins’ soft offensive line.

Back in Week 5, Lawson had a season high six pressures against Miami, and he had a sack last time out against Seattle – we can expect more of the same.

Throw in that seventh-round rookie Skylar Thompson has been taking first team practice reps this week – with Tua still in concussion protocol and Teddy dealing with a dislocated little finger – I love his chances.

Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers

Jamaal Williams has a huge 15 touchdowns on the season, and I’m predicting another against the Green Bay Packers.

He is just one score away from Barry Sanders’ team record 16 touchdowns – with Jamaal stating, “I’m coming for you Barry”.

Williams has 53 red zone touches, ranking as the third most in the NFL – and this Packers defence is soft against the run. They have allowed 2,151 rushing yards – ranking as the seventh most in the league, alongside 13 touchdowns to RBs.

He’s a crucial part of the Lions offence – expect him to be used often.

Plus, this game could have little meaning for the Lions come kick off (if Seattle wins then the Lions are out of the playoffs) – so the team will be actively looking to help Williams hit this record.

NFL betting tips: Week 18

2pt Patrick Mahomes 320.5+ passing yards at 5/6 (Betfair, Paddy Power)

1pt Zay Jones 4.5+ receptions & 55.5+ receiving yards at 7/5 (bet365)

Sky Bet odds | Paddy Power | Betfair Sportsbook

Kansas City Chiefs @ Las Vegas Raiders

Patrick Mahomes is 430 yards away from the all-time NFL passing yards record.

His line for this game is set at 320.5 – a number which he has beaten in nine games this season, including last Sunday.

This week he faces the Raiders – who have allowed the fourth most passing yards in the NFL, and since 2019 Mahomes has averaged 323 passing yards against the team.

The switch to Jarrett Stidham resulted in a new look Raiders that no one could have predicted – scoring 34 points against the #1 ranked 49ers defence.

Meanwhile the Chiefs defence has been leakier than most would expect as of late – conceding an average of 24 points/game over their last five.

Expect there to be points in this matchup with Stidham proving he still has a role to play in the NFL – as Mahomes chases history.

Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Since the Jaguars Week 11 bye, Zay Jones leads the team in targets – with 50 over his last six games.

He’s rapidly becoming Trevor Lawrence’s favourite target and is closing in on two large incentives.

He needs two more catches for a $250k bonus, then 98 more receiving yards for a $500k bonus. The Jaguars are on the cusp of their first playoff appearance since 2017 and face the Titans.

Tennessee have allowed the third most yards in the NFL to wide receivers this season – alongside the third most catches to the position too. This is a must-win game, with a soft matchup to exploit.

Take the overs on Jones.
