Jeremy Maclin signs deal with Baltimore

Free agent wide receiver Jeremy Maclin has signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, the team have confirmed.

Maclin visited the Ravens and the Buffalo Bills last week after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs on June 2.

The Ravens were in the market for help in the passing game following the retirement of Steve Smith and the release of tight end Dennis Pitta.

Maclin will compete with Mike Wallace and 2015 first-round draft pick Breshad Perriman for playing time in Baltimore.

The 29-year-old Maclin suffered a down year in 2016 as injuries limited him to just 44 catches for 536 yards and two touchdowns over 12 games.

Maclin caught 44 passes for 536 yards and two touchdowns over 12 games last season.

The former Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick hauled in 172 catches for 2,406 yards and 18 touchdowns over the two prior seasons.

There should be some familiarity for Maclin in coming to Baltimore, with Ravens offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg having served in the same position for Maclin's first four seasons with the Eagles.
