LA Chargers 29-28 Kansas City Chiefs: Mike Williams scores three TDs & two-point conversion for dramatic NFL win

The Los Angeles Chargers punched their ticket to the NFL play-offs with a thrilling last-second 29-28 victory over divisional rivals the Kansas City Chiefs.

LA head coach Anthony Lynn dramatically decided to go for a two-point conversion on the last play of the game rather then kicking the on-pointer to tie it up and go to overtime.

The Chargers had bounced back from a 14-point deficit to get within a point thanks to a Mike Williams touchdown with just four seconds left on the clock.

After coach Lynn called for the two-point try, quarterback Philip Rivers connected with Williams on the game-winning score to earn a thrilling victory.

The win means the Chargers join the Chiefs at the top of the AFC on 11-3 after ending a nine-game losing streak against their AFC West foes.

The Chiefs still stay top of the standings due to their better divisional record, but it will now be a sprint finish between the two AFC West and most probably top spot in the conference and home field advantage throughout the play-offs.

Rivers threw for 313 yards and two touchdowns along with two interceptions, while Williams had three touchdowns - two receiving and one 19-yard run to go along with his crucial two-point conversion catch.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw two more touchdowns and and running back Damien Williams ran in two more but the Chiefs defence was just unable to hold out at the end of the game.

Both teams have now been confirmed for the play-offs.
