Our F1 Insider is predicting a home victory in Sunday's German Grand Prix while there's also a 10/1 tip from the sub-markets.
Sebastian Vettel to win at 15/8
The German Grand Prix looks set to come down to a duel between the two primary championship contenders and Vettel looks the value against Lewis Hamilton at the prices. Vettel got the rub of the green last time out at Silverstone after his Ferrari team-mate speared into Mercedes' Hamilton on the opening lap, relegating the reigning champion to the back of the field. But the advantage the red car has shown off the start line arguably more than negates the slight qualifying edge shown by its silver rival, at least in Hamilton's hands. This could go either way but home hero Vettel has the momentum and is the pick at nearly triple-your-money odds.
Charles Leclerc to finish in the top six at 10/1
The fight for best of the rest behind the Mercedes, Ferraris and Red Bulls has been a fierce one since the opening race. Haas and Renault are generally favoured to hold the upper hand but the reliability of both cars is suspect, allowing the likes of McLaren's Fernando Alonso and Alfa Romeo Sauber's Leclerc to feature in the scrap if randomness intervenes. Leclerc, thought to be in pole position to partner Vettel at Ferrari next season, is driving beautifully and is arguably a couple of points overpriced at sportingbet's 10/1 to take a top-six finish at Hockenheim. The Monegasque driver will likely have to rely on attrition among the big beasts but a powerful Ferrari engine allied with ever-more-impressive racecraft skills could see the youngster surprise and repeat his sixth place finish from Baku.
