👨⚖️ CHELSEA TRANSFER BAN UPHELD
FIFA has broadly rejected Chelsea's appeal against its two-window transfer ban for signing underage players, world football's governing body has announced.
Spanish trio Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all been sanctioned for similar offences in the past. Manchester City are understood to be the next leading club in FIFA's cross hairs for a ban related to underage transfers.
Chelsea are angry at the verdict and say they will take their legal fight to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Barcelona were subjected to "the biggest ridicule in history", according to the Spanish media, as Liverpool left the Catalans "blushing" with a remarkable 4-0 Champions League comeback win at Anfield.
Ernesto Valverde's LaLiga champions arrived on Merseyside boasting a 3-0 advantage following last week's semi-final first leg, but their dreams of reaching a June 1 final were dramatically crushed.
Barca, in shipping four unanswered goals to Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum, wrote "the darkest page" of a glorious club chronicle which also features 26 Spanish title wins and five European Cups.
📝 BOLTON SET FOR ADMINISTRATION
Bolton chairman Ken Anderson has announced he will be forced to place the club in administration. Wanderers had hoped to complete a takeover deal with Laurence Bassini, but the former Watford owner has failed to provide proof of funding.
The Bolton chairman said in a statement on the club's website: "Mr Bassini, regrettably his continued time wasting and empty promises have caused a great deal of heartache and frustration for the staff and supporters alike and now leave the Eddie Davies Trust and I with little or no choice other than for one of us to place the businesses into administration, as any likelihood of finding any resolution (in) the High Court hearing (is) not possible."
📝 CARDIFF SET TO RETAIN WARNOCK
Neil Warnock has received the support of Cardiff owner Vincent Tan to remain as the club's manager despite relegation from the Premier League.
Warnock seemed to question his own future after Saturday's 3-2 home defeat to Crystal Palace confirmed Cardiff's return to the Sky Bet Championship, with the 70-year-old saying he had "no idea" whether he would be staying.
But Malaysian businessman Tan has delivered a vote of confidence and wants Warnock to attempt to extend his own record of promotions as a manager to nine.
"I am happy for Neil to stay and achieve his ninth promotion," Tan told BBC Sport Wales.
