Kyle Edmund into third round of BNP Paribas Open


Kyle Edmund moved into the third round of the BNP Paribas Open with a straight-sets victory over Chile's Nicolas Jarry that took less than an hour.

The British number one, who is seeded 22nd, triumphed 6-2 6-0 in 51 minutes in Indian Wells.

Edmund registered six aces and won 80 per cent of his first serve points as he saw off Jarry, who is ranked 63 places below him at 86 in the world.

The 24-year-old will now face the winner of the second-round match between Italy's Fabio Fognini and Romanian Radu Albot.
