Paul Hunter Classic: Mark Selby reaches last 16

Defending champion Mark Selby came from 3-1 down to beat Joe Swail 4-3 and reach the last 16 of the Paul Hunter Classic on Saturday.

When Selby (pictured above) lost the fourth frame on a respotted black, he needed to win the final three frames but did so in impressive fashion courtesy of breaks of 66, 82 and 51 to set up a clash with Michael White.

Kyren Wilson was the eyecatcher of the day as he romped to three 4-0 wins, beating Kurt Dunham, Jamie Curtis-Barrett and Alan McManus in Germany.

"It’s tough here in Fürth because it’s humid so we have to get used to the conditions. But I have played well in all three matches," he said on the official World Snooker website, before revealing he planned to play a full schedule in the coming weeks despite being due to become a father to a second child in the near future.

Wilson will play Ian Burns in the last 16 on Sunday.
