Shaun Murphy stormed into the last 16 of the Paul Hunter Classic in Furth, Germany after securing three convincing victories on Friday.
The new world number five, a finalist earlier in the week in Guangzhou, started with a 4-2 win over Adam Stefanow in the morning before dispensing Sam Baird 4-1 in their second-round clash.
Murphy was equally destructive with three half-century breaks in his last-32 tie with 1997 world champion Ken Doherty for a 4-0 victory.
Last year's finalist Tom Ford dropped just one frame en route to the fourth round after he saw off Rob Read, Alexander Ursenbacher and Jamie Cope.
Ben Woollaston, Jamie Jones, Gary Wilson and Chris Wakelin also progressed to the last 16, with the bottom half of the draw to complete their first three rounds on Saturday.
