London Irish have announced the signing of New Zealand World Cup winner Waisake Naholo.
Wing Naholo, 28, becomes the Exiles' latest recruit ahead of next season's Gallagher Premiership return. Naholo, who has scored 16 tries in 26 Tests, will follow the likes of Sean O'Brien, Sekope Kepu and Paddy Jackson to the Madejski Stadium.
The Highlanders star was part of New Zealand's successful 2015 World Cup squad, playing against Georgia and Tonga. He will join Irish later this year.
Irish rugby director Declan Kidney said: "Waisake is a top-class player who will bring great experience with him, which we hope he can pass on to our younger players as they continue their development with us.
"We are delighted that a player of his ability and age profile has bought into our vision for where we as a club are working hard to get to. We look forward to welcoming him when he is finished with his commitments with the NZRU (New Zealand Rugby Union)."
The NZRU confirmed Naholo's departure to English rugby at the end of 2019.
And New Zealand head coach Steve Hansen told www.allblacks.com: "Waisake is a special member of the All Blacks group. He's an exciting player who brings an infectious sense of energy and humour to the team environment. While we look forward to seeing him in action in New Zealand in 2019, we wish him well for his future ventures."
