Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Thursday's meeting at Gulfstream.

Race 1

Call Curt made a promising start in a less valuable maiden claimer over track and trip and can figure with any further progress while Living Vicariously posted his best attempt so far when second in this grade last time. But the latter had finished behind runner-up MR NAPPY here back in January and Fernando Abreu’s charge is fancied to confirm running today having shown improved form in straight maidens subsequently and he gets the vote back at this lower level. Violent Fight and Wesley Ward’s She’s Just Quality are newcomers to note.

Race 2

Mystic Comin Home passed the post first in a less valuable contest here in February but was disqualified for hampering a rival. She’s subsequently finished runner-up back here though was only a head in front of Markistan on that occasion. Truly Ambitious has been competing in more valuable claimers and may get involved but BIBIANA takes an even bigger drop in class. She faded in the closing stages over 6f here last time but this slightly shorter trip will help on that score and Saffie Joseph’s yard is in fine form.

Race 3

Papa’s Little Girl is usually thereabouts without winning though still finished in front of Take Charge Again when second here last month. But it looks time for the latter’s stablemate TALKTHETALK to finally walk the walk having taken part in much tougher races than this since winning a straight maiden race last autumn and Jane Cibelli’s filly looks the one to side with at this level. Derby Day Zip is another on the drop and one to consider but Quiet All Around’s best effort so far came on the Turf track here last month.

Race 4

Chad Brown’s powerful yard is represented by a couple of interesting newcomers in Hamdan Al Maktoum’s Altaf and the Juddmonte-owned Publication. Neither are easily dismissed but this looks a decent maiden with MIMINA’S TEAM just preferred. A runner-up the last twice, she finished ahead of Too Sexy last time and had the measure of the Todd Pletcher-trained Cat Lady before that and the latter has subsequently gone close back here boosting the form in the process. Francisco D’Angelo’s filly gets the vote to go one better.

Race 5

Suz has the past form but seemed to have little excuse for a poor effort last time and Memorize has struggled since winning here back in January. The latter finished a long way behind GILDA F. and Tuesday’s Rose when the former finished runner-up at this venue and Juan Perez’ filly looks set to open her account on the main track having already won three times on Turf. Salsa Rita is another looking to put a below par run behind her having finished ahead of Worth Avenue here in February.

Race 6

Several of these arrive in top form, none more so than Hartling, who has gone through the ranks to complete a four-timer. However, she's up in grade again and her winning streak may come to an end though she holds Just A Bit Sassy on her latest run. Days Of Spring completed a double in lower grade before just failing to hold Yolanda's Pride with I'll Do It My Way upsides on her hat-trick bid. She looks certain to go well but the vote goes to DIENDA. Joel Rosario's mount had Hartling behind when landing a better race here last summer and has returned in top form after a break, finishing runner-up at this level in February with Glorious Gal back in third.

Race 7

Envoutante will be winning soon judged on her two runs to date and was probably unlucky last time after stumbling at the start. Token, who is by Curlin, ran a cracker on just her second start, just failing to hold Back In Charge with Etana in third so she should go well from the inside. The War Front filly NEVER FORGET has been placed twice in her three starts, the first a better race than this, and was returning from a break when runner-up last time so looks the one to beat.

Race 8

Smack had been placed in her first seven races over further before getting off the mark over the track and trip. Christophe Clement's filly doesn't have much more to do and looks certain to take some pegging back. Fallen Leaf won a minor race here in August but hasn't been seen since November so may just need the run. DIXIEINCANDYLAND (NAP) was having her first start since scoring in August when runner-up to Miss Auramet over the course and distance last month. She had Awsum Roar back in third and with that run under her belt, is taken to go one better in this.

Race 9

SHAMROCKET encountered trouble in-running here last time but still managed to get close to Proven Strategies. He may not be hindered by an outside draw and has the scope to take this before going on to better things. This Ill Defend has been staying on when the leaders had flown and that could be the case again as traffic problems are likely but Bear Alley showed improved form on just his third start last month and is one for the places. Pricing Exercise and Battalion represent major yards and both are open to plenty of improvement.
