Chennai Super Kings v Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Date: 15:00 (MON)
  • Venue: Chennai
  • TV: Sky Sports Cricket

There is the potential for Sunrisers Hyderabad and their ultra-aggressive top order to come unstuck when they travel to Chennai to face the Super Kings on Monday.

This late into the season is usually the time when we can expect spin to take over in Chennai, though it must be said this is a better square than the one we have seen here in previous years.

Nevertheless, armed with home advantage, CSK would be my slight preference at 6/5 to win the match.

However, I'd rather stick with the side markets with the excellent NOOR AHMAD who is enjoying a strong campaign thus far.

Noor has bagged 12 wickets in 12 matches, but his economy rate of 7.88 is exceptional in the context of such a high-scoring competition.

I still think there is a big haul in him before the season is out, so I'll be backing the Afghanistan wrist spinner TO TAKE TWO OR MORE WICKETS IN THE MATCH and THREE OR MORE WICKETS IN THE MATCH is the call.

Rajasthan Royals v Lucknow Super Giants

  • Date: 15:00 (TUE)
  • Venue: Jaipur
  • TV: Sky Sports Cricket

Jaipur is quickly turning into one of the most reliable grounds for runs in the IPL.

We've had three matches played at this venue so far this term, with five of the six innings recording scores in excess of 220.

Rajasthan Royals let the side down when imploding from 38-0 (2.4 overs) to 152 all out against the Gujarat Titans in the last fixture here, and I do think the hosts are heavily reliant on a top four headed by teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

It was a similar story in Delhi in Sunday, when the Royals faltered from 161-2 to 193-8.

Still, the hosts are very capable of going big if that top order fires, with similar comments applicable to visitors Lucknow Super Giants.

This has been a season to forget for the Super Giants, but the batting has crossed 200 in each of their last three matches as the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Josh Inglis and Nicholas Pooran have let rip in what are essentially dead-rubber fixtures for them at this stage.

I'm not sure I'd trust either team enough to bank on total match runs or in the both teams to score markets, but don't rule out a huge total being posted, perhaps even in a seemingly improbable run chase.

Kolkata Knight Riders v Mumbai Indians

  • Date: 15:00 (WED)
  • Venue: Eden Gardens
  • TV: Sky Sports Cricket

Eden Gardens returned from a month break on Saturday, with a typical Kolkata batsman's paradise served up as the Knight Riders hit 247-2 batting first, before Gujarat Titans made 218-4 in reply.

The issue four weeks or so ago was the volume of cricket that had been played here on the back of the preceding T20 World Cup. The square needed a break.

But normal serviced was resumed on Saturday as Finn Allen blasted 93 from just 35 balls, backed up by rapid half-centuries from Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green.

KKR's batting has finally clicked, helped by some better selection, and Wednesday's visitors Mumbai Indians are hot from successfully chasing down 201 against Punjab Kings earlier in the week.

With the likes of Ryan Rickelton and Tilak Varma in flying form for Mumbai, there are runs in this side, just as their is KKR's line-up.

If we get another belter, the 5/4 for 400+ total match runs with Coral and Ladbrokes could look good business.

However, slight preference is to split stakes on BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 200+ RUNS at 21/10 and BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 210+ RUNS at 9/2.
