Verdict

The Joseph O'Brien-trained GRANDMASTER FLASH has finished runner up on each of his three starts at the track including over C&D last month when running Sweet Dime to 1¼L off a 2lb lower mark. In a race where many could struggle to get into, the three-year-old can get off the mark at the ninth time of asking for connections ahead of the John McConnell-trained Hannon who ran well on the Flat over 1m6f/1m5f at Bellewstown in July and Leopardstown in August. It could be expected that the Godolphin-owned Elizabeth Way will start to improve soon, along with the daughter of Frankel, Proxy from the Dermot Weld yard.
