Switcher ran a fine race in this grade at Doncaster earlier this month when second to Nargys. Maureen was a disappointing favourite that day and stablemate Zurigha was even further behind and both might struggle to overturn that form here. Estiqaama won by eight lengths when completing her hat-trick at Yarmouth and a step up to pattern race company was always on the cards after that. She shouldn't be disgraced but it was impossible not to be impressed with LANANSAAK at Ascot, where she won on the bridle despite an awkward head carriage. She's clearly not been easy to train and wears a hood again here but has bags of ability and can earn some black type in this. Igugu has her first run since the spring but rarely competes outside of Group 1 company and has a victory to her name at the highest level. She could go well though this trip is on the sharp side for Mike De Kock's mare.

Maureen (IRE) 15-8fav (8-13) Chased leaders, ridden to slight lead approaching final furlong, headed and not pace of winner inside final furlong, stayed on same pace after, 5th of 8, 2 1/4l behind Nargys (8-10) at Doncaster 7f flls Group 3 stks (1) gs.
Purr Along 14-1 (9-0) Waited with towards rear, well off the pace, improved into moderate 5th travelling well over 2f out, no impression under pressure and kept on same pace from over 1f out, 5th of 8, 5l behind Belle de Crecy (9-7) at Curragh 1m 2f Grp 2 flls (1) gd.

Switcher (IRE) 25-1 (9-0) Took keen hold, slight lead in centre, headed approaching final furlong, rallied into 2nd post, not pace of winner, 2nd of 8, 1 3/4l behind Nargys (8-10) at Doncaster 7f flls Group 3 stks (1) gs.
