Apache Rising failed to figure in three starts on Turf last term, but has improved dramatically on the all-weather this year, winning four of his last five starts. He has to come into the reckoning but TRIBAL PATH is preferred. The latter had a couple of subsequent winners behind when scoring by over three lengths at Lingfield in January and can make his handicap debut a winning one. Lilac Lace also ended last season with a couple of wins on the all-weather and Bartack has scope for improvement on his seasonal reappearance. Danehill Flyer and Stagweekend have been placed and should be winning this year, though it might not be today.
