This looks really competitive. Blue Wave beat Echo Brava easily enough at Lingfield last month but has since fallen short off today's higher mark. Modernism could only manage fourth last week but got the better of Like A Diamond over a shorter distance here earlier and the latter has subsequently won over track and trip. Kashmir Peak never threatened despite finishing second over 2m at this track recently and had earlier fallen victim to MAGIKA over course and distance. Marco Botti's progressive filly is upped a further 6lb but may not have finished improving yet and is taken to go in again.
Echo Brava 7-4fav (9-2) Dwelt in touch in rear, ridden and headway to chase leading pair over 1f out, effort on inner to press winner inside final furlong, not quicken near finish, 2nd of 6, 1/2l behind Scottish Star (9-4) at Lingfield 1m 5f hcp 0-80 (4) pol.
Blue Wave (IRE) 5-2 (9-4) Tracked leaders, driven to lead over 2f out, headed over 1f out, weakened final furlong, 3rd of 8, 4 1/2l behind Grendisar (8-13) at Lingfield 1m 4f hcp 0-95 (3) pol.
Kashmir Peak (IRE) 9-2 (9-6) Took keen hold, held up in last pair, not clear run on inside over 3f out, headway to 3rd 2f out, ridden and went 2nd inside final furlong no chance with unchallenged winner, 2nd of 6, 6l behind Be Perfect (9-4) at Wolverhampton 2m hcap (2) pol.
Flying Power 50-1 (9-11) Tracked leaders, weakened over 4f out, 6th of 7, 42l behind Masterful Act (9-12) at Southwell 1m 4f hcap (2) fbs in Jan.
Magika 7-2 (8-12) Tracked leader for 2f, remained in handy 4th, went 3rd 2f out, chased leader well over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, stayed on well, comfortably, won at Wolverhampton 1m 4f hcp 0-95 (3) pol in Jan beating Kashmir Peak (9-10) by 1 3/4l, 6 ran.
Modernism 4-1 (9-3) Tracked leaders, ridden and every chance entering final furlong, no extra towards finish, 4th of 8, 4 1/2l behind Indian Jack (9-4) at Lingfield 1m 2f hcp 0-95 (3) pol.
Like A Diamond (IRE) 3-1 (8-13) Held up mid-division and keen, headway over 2f out, went 2nd well over 1f out, soon led, kept on and held on near finish, won at Wolverhampton 1m 4f hcp 0-85 (4) pol beating Sagesse (8-11) by 3/4l, 10 ran.
