Verdict

Cut Across is proving consistent and is not easily dismissed, despite a penalty, for his recent win at Lingfield. Dorback has been running well over the minimum trip and has strong claims on his latest second at this track while Irish Heartbeat finished ahead of Waking Warrior when runner-up over C&D last week and is another to consider. LITTLE GARCON hasn't won for some time but has slipped 11lb down the weights since the start of last year as a consequence. A better effort last time suggests a return to form is imminent and Robert Cowell's charge gets the speculative vote.
