Silvestre De Sousa was booked at an early stage for Bayan, who has been in superb form on the Flat and over hurdles. He's improving rapidly and on a fair mark so has to be on the short-list, though he only beat Call Me Bubbles a length over timber at Listowel and the latter is well in at the weights. Quick Jack is another very progressive type who has a 5lb penalty for his latest success but still looks very well handicapped and will be difficult to keep out of the frame. Ancient Sands continues on her merry way but could now be in the grip of the handicapper so the vote goes to TOTALIZE. Brian Ellison loves his trips to Ireland and landed the Cesarewitch at the Curragh a few weeks ago so the recent Pontefract winner can defy a penalty and score for the Yorkshire handler.
