Encke is an interesting runner in this Group 3 for Charlie Appleby. He hasn't raced since beating Camelot in the 2012 St Leger but should be straight enough and makes more appeal than the other Godolphin entry Songcraft. Pether's Moon is consistent and was third in a Group 2 at Newmarket last month but there appears no reason why he should reverse that form with runner-up HILLSTAR, who can land this for the in-form Stoute stable. The latter hasn't scored since beating Battle Of Marengo at Royal Ascot last year but can put that right today. Quest For Peace has shown a liking for this track in the past but had a tough time of it last year on foreign shores and is best watched on his reappearance.
