Verdict
Piceno had Llewellyn well behind at Catterick last month but that pair have both shown their best in either soft ground or on the Fibresand at Southwell. My Single Malt has been holding his form well over longer trips at this track of late but is hard to win with and IMPERATOR AUGUSTUS is preferred. He hasn't won this year but is has finally dropped back down to a winning mark and it showed over C&D last time when finishing third to Cut Across. Roy The Boy is 9lb higher than August's victory over track and trip and looks handicapped out of this but unexposed maiden winner Living Leader could go close stepping up a furlong.
