IOANNOU finished a lot closer over 6f here last time without ever looking like winning. Breeding suggests he'll be much better over today's trip and further and he gets the speculative vote in a poor maiden. Back For Tea was well beaten in a handicap earlier this week and drops back in distance while Morna's Glory finished runner-up at Catterick in August and should figure with a similar effort. Lieutenant Dan is another with claims in this company and Bestfootforward won't have to improve that much on a modest debut at Lingfield to get involved.
Back For Tea (IRE) 50-1 (8-7) Held up mid-division, headway over 3f out, went 2nd over 2f out until ridden over 1f out, soon weakened, 9th of 11, 9l behind Storm Runner (9-3) at Lingfield 1m hcp 0-60 (6) pol.
Ioannou 66-1 (9-3) In rear, outpaced over 4f out, not trouble leaders, 6th of 9, 6l behind Buckland (8-10) at Wolverhampton 6f mdn stks (5) pol in Nov.
Coastal Passage 33-1 (9-0) Stumbled start and slow into stride, outpaced, 10th of 12, 12l behind Dazzlin Bluebell (8-12) at Southwell 5f mdn stks (5) fbs in Nov.
Lieutenant Dan (IRE) 10-1 (9-3) Led until headed over 1f out, kept on same pace, 3rd of 7, 7l behind The Mongoose (9-3) at Wolverhampton 7f mdn stks (5) pol.
Crucis Abbey (IRE) 20-1 (9-5) Alway towards rear, 9th of 10, 12l behind Big Sylv (9-3) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp 0-50 (7) pol.
Rosa Lockwood 20-1 (8-12) In touch, ridden halfway, went modest 4th 2f out, 4th of 9, 16l behind Kalokagathia (9-3) at Kempton 7f mdn auc stks (6) pol.

Acton Jenson 28-1 (9-3) Keen tracked winner until ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, 5th of 8, 13l behind Spark Of Genius (8-12) at Wolverhampton 7f mdn stks (5) pol.
