Verdict
Willie Mullins won this a year ago with the classy So Young and can repeat the process with MAKE YOUR MARK. Purchased by Gigginstown for 100,000 euros after landing a point-to-point in April, he cruised to victory in a Punchestown bumper last month and looks like taking high order in the novice hurdle ranks. Competitive Edge will be a formidable opponent judged on his excellent third place behind Cash And Go and Jenari at Gowran and he must be forgiven his mishap here on Monday where he crashed through the rail at the first after being badly impeded. Zerashan was a classy performer on the Flat who will have learnt from the experience of his opening run over timber at Fairyhouse and though Clear Hills was well behind Make Your Mark at Punchestown Michael Hourigan's winning point-to-pointer will be much better suited by the longer trip. The ex-French Mystic Desir is comfortably the best of those with hurdling experience but will probably do better back over fences.
