Verdict

Layla's Boy wasn't beaten far over C&D in October and course regular White Deer has been thereabouts on a few occasions of late. However, the latter finished behind third-placed NO DIAMOND over track and trip last time and Mike Appleby's lightly-raced five-year-old looks set to finally lose his maiden tag off his current mark. Five Hearts should figure with a reproduction of her latest run at Lingfield and Awesome Rock's recent efforts suggest his first win is not far away.
