This looks wide-open. Purple 'n Gold won here in January and went close again last time but he's up another 3lb today and ISHIKAWA has the more recent form. Alan King's charge had been running consistently well on the Polytrack before a poor effort at Windsor last time and gets the nod back on this surface. Rezwaan is another who ran below par on Turf last month and is not easily dismissed but both Mubtadi and King Olav have something to prove now off their current marks.
Rezwaan 25-1 (8-13) Held up towards rear, weakened over 2f out, last of 9, 16l behind Tight Lipped (9-2) at Sandown 1m 2f hcp 0-75 (5) gs in May.
Tafawuk (USA) 4-1 (9-5) Chased winner, ridden and lost 2nd over 1f out, weakened final 100 yards, 6th of 9, 3l behind Tight Lipped (9-2) at Sandown 1m 2f hcp 0-75 (5) gs in May.
Mubtadi 9-4fav (9-6) Held up well in rear, switched right and headway over 3f out, chased leaders over 2f out, never able to challenge, 4th of 10, 6l behind Meetings Man (8-8) at Nottingham 1m 2f hcp 0-75 (5) gd in May.
King Olav (UAE) 7-4fav (9-7) Led, ridden and joined over 1f out, headed final strides, 2nd of 7, nk behind Gabrial's Hope (9-0) at Lingfield 1m 4f hcp 0-65 (6) pol in May.
Lady Macduff (IRE) 8-1 (9-6) Mid-division, outpaced when not much room over 2f out, soon weakened, 6th of 8, 22l behind Christmas Light (9-2) at Beverley 1m 2f hcp 0-75 (5) gf.
Xinbama (IRE) 6-1 (9-5) Slowly into stride, soon in touch, effort and ridden 2f out, stayed on to 3rd inside final furlong, kept on, 3rd of 9, 7l behind Legendary (9-7) at Kempton 1m hcp 0-75 (5) pol.
Checkpoint 3-1 (10-0) Raced keenly, prominent on outside, driven over 2f out, soon lost place, weakened final furlong, 5th of 6, 19l behind Refer (8-9) at Bath 1m 4f mdn auc stks (5) gf in Apr.
Ishikawa (IRE) 12-1 (8-12) Took keen hold, held up in 6th, pushed along over 3f out, soon weakened, 7th of 8, 16l behind Duke Of Clarence (9-4) at Windsor 1m 2f hcp 0-85 (4) gd in Apr.
Purple 'n Gold (IRE) 3-1 (9-0) Towards rear, headway 2f out, led inside final furlong, soon under pressure, caught post, 2nd of 9, shd behind Canary Wharf (9-4) at Kempton 1m 2f hcp 0-75 (5) pol in Jan.
