Forjoetheplumber has run some fine races over fences but has now gone 10 starts without winning and once again disappointed at Galway last time. Rathlin, runner-up in a Grade 2 over timber in April, made a quiet start over fences in a strong Grade 3 behind Lucky William at Punchestown and will have come on enormously for the run, a remark that also applies to Pires after his chasing debut at Naas where he wouldn't have appreciated the heavy ground. White Star Line's close fourth to De Valira at Listowel is the best chasing form on view though he was beaten when falling on his next start at Downpatrick. He can bounce back but POPCORN looks the one to be on as he's specifically bred for chasing and everything he achieved over hurdles was a bonus. Sizing Santiago made several mistakes on his debut over fences at Gowran but should have learned from that and looks a nice prospect.
