Renegotiate went close in a similar event over a longer trip here last month and has solid claims. He still has a bit to find with PURPLE 'N GOLD on these terms, however. The latter ran poorly after making a winning reappearance at Yarmouth but has been off the track since July and that should have freshened him up. Anychanceofabirdie has failed to build on a debut third at Redcar back in May and Chepstow winner Shomberg has it all to do at the weights.
