Bally Longford was going well when falling on his debut between the flags than ran well at Rathmorrisey. He's joined Willie Mullins and looks a nice prospect so is expected to be in the shake-up though CURLEY BILL looks the one to be on. Noel Meade's charge has been unfortunate to bump into a couple of very useful recruits in his two latest starts and will be unlucky if he meets another here. He holds Bell Weir on the first of those runs but Balboni was only caught in the shadow of the post by Bottle Rattler over slightly further here in September and the winner can give the form a boost earlier in the day.
Bell Weir 12-1 (11-4) Held up in rear, headway into moderate 5th 3f out, ridden into 3rd under 2f out, kept on into 2nd inside final furlong, no chance with winner, 2nd of 10, 8l behind Posiden Sea (11-4) at Clonmel 2m N H flat.
Curley Bill (IRE) 3-1 (11-10) Tracked leaders, 3rd 4f out, travelling well on outer entering straight, led and ridden 1 1/2f out, headed 1f out, no extra final furlong, 2nd of 8, 3 1/2l behind Expanding Universe (12-0) at Fairyhouse 2m N H flat sft in Oct.
Bally Longford (IRE) 2-1 (10-11) Mid div, prog to chall 4out, ld 2out, in command when bad mstk last, so to line, 2nd of 6, 2l behind Copper Birch (10-11) at Rathmorrissey 3m ire ptp gd in Mar.
Balboni (IRE) 9-1 (11-3) Soon mid-division, improved to track leaders 4f out, challenged and led 1f out, stayed on well final furlong, headed on line, 2nd of 15, shd behind Bottle Rattler (11-3) at Downpatrick 2m 2f ldy N H flat gd in Sep.
Totally Couture (IRE) 25-1 (10-10) Tracked leaders at slow pace, kept on under pressure final furlong without getting there, 3rd of 5, 2 1/4l behind Somethingwonderful (10-10) at Galway 2m 4yo nhf sft in Oct.
All Fired Up 16-1 (11-7) Towards rear, 7th approaching straight, kept on one pace without troubling leaders, 5th of 10, 19l behind Killyglass (11-11) at Wexford 2m N H flat gd in Oct.
Notorious Villain (IRE) 14-1 (11-7) Keen hold in mid-division at ordinary pace, kept on same pace under pressure from over 2f out, 9th of 18, 19l behind Gilt Shadow (11-8) at Down Royal 2m N H flat gs.
So Valentino (IRE) Samraan gelding out of Katie Bingham.
Geraldine Gold (IRE) 25-1 (11-0) Always towards rear mainly 7th, in touch until ridden early straight and no extra 2f out, weakened, 7th of 8, 39l behind Thunder And Roses (11-10) at Naas 2m 3f N H flat sft in Oct.
Our Cathal (IRE) 50-1 (11-0) Led, veered left after 2f, ridden and headed 4f out, soon weakened, tailed off, last of 9, well behind Apache Stronghold (11-4) at Down Royal 2m N H flat gd.
