Verdict
The veteran LUKE'S BENEFIT alternates between hurdles and fences and arrives on a fair mark. He scored over the bigger obstacles at Punchestown on New Year's Eve under today's claimer and looks to have been found another winning opportunity. Malt Gem is making his handicap debut and has been racing over much longer trips while Treat Yourself shot up the weights after completing a double and ran poorly at Gowran last month. Shanroe Society won a minor handicap here before a very moderate effort at Navan while Kilmainham was very fortunate to win a modest contest over the track and trip and could have done without a 3lb rise. The Boys Dont Know won a maiden here in November but has struggled in handicaps subsequently.
