Coco Vandeweghe will open favourites USA’s bid to win the Fed Cup for the first time in 17 years on Saturday.
The world number 10 will face Belarus’ Aliaksandra Sasnovich - ranked 77 places lower - in the opening rubber in Minsk.
They will be followed onto court by US Open champion Sloane Stephens and the hosts’ number one Aryna Sabalenka, who is ranked 78th.
The reverse singles will be played on Sunday with a potentially-decisive doubles rubber to follow.
Vera Lepko and Lidziya Marozava have been named for that and are due to face Alison Riske and Shelby Rogers. However, changes can be made for all three of Sunday’s rubbers.
Vendeweghe, who made her Fed Cup debut in the 2010 final defeat to Italy, said it didn't matter to her whether she played first or second.
"You play a match, you win, you lose. You just try your best. Doesn't matter if I play first, second, not at all. I'm out here for these girls, to compete as hard as I can."
She admitted it would be something of a step into the unknown for her.
"I can't really speak on any of the match-ups because I haven't played anyone on the team."
The tie is being played on an indoor hardcourt and the Americans will start hot favourites to claim what would be a record 18th title.
Belarus are playing in their first Fed Cup final but come into it having won their last nine ties.
