ATP Finals: Where, when & TV coverage

The ATP World Tour's season-ending Nitto ATP Finals will take place from November 12-19 at The O2 in London. The matches will be played on an indoor hardcourt in the venue's O2 Arena.

The entire tournament will be televised live in the UK by Sky Sports, with selected matches shown on BBC.

The ATP Finals see the best eight singles players of the season - and the best eight doubles teams - brought together for the prestigious season-ending tournament.

It has been a year of injuries for many of the top players so the likes of defending champion Andy Murray, five-time winner Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka are all missing from this year's field.

ATP Finals: Format & rules

The eight players/doubles teams compete on a round-robin basis. They are split into two groups of four with the top two in each group progressing to the knockout semi-finals - the winner of one group plays the runner-up in the other.

If two players/teams have the same number of wins in the group stage, they will be separated via the following methods:

1. Greatest number of matches played
2. If only two players are tied, head-to-head result
3. If three players are tied, percentage of sets won (then head-to-head result if this eliminates one of the three)
4. If still level, percentage of games won
5. If still level, pre-tournament ATP ranking

ATP Finals: Future

The tournament moved from Shanghai to London in 2009 and has stayed ever since.

Earlier this year The O2's contract was extended by a further two years, keeping the ATP Finals in London until at least 2020.
