Jimmy Robertson reaches Euro Masters final

Jimmy Robertson beat Mark King 6-4 at the European Masters in Belgium to reach the final of a ranking tournament for the first time.

Robertson, 32, from Bexhill-on-Sea, will play Joe Perry in his bid for a first professional title after overcoming Mark Allen in his first ranking event semi-final on Friday.

The world number 36 produced breaks of 82 and 132 in the seventh and eighth frames respectively to lead King 5-3 and after losing the next held his nerve in the 10th to seal victory.

Perry had earlier booked his place in the final after fighting back from 2-0 down and then winning the last four frames to beat world number 28 Anthony Hamilton 6-3.
