Mark Allen holds the advantage in his International Championship semi-final clash with Matthew Stevens after the first of two sessions.

Allen rattled off four frames in a row to head into the interval with a 5-3 lead after Stevens had won three of the first four.

It's Stevens' first semi-final appearance since 2013 and he's earned in the hard way, winning final-frame deciders against Mark King, Ding Junui and Martin O'Donnell.

Allen has found things easier the deeper he's progressed but it took some of his best, including a 120 break in frame eight, to wrest back the initiative.

Friday's semi-final (best of 17)

  • Mark Allen 5-3 Matthew Stevens

Saturday's semi-final (best of 17)

  • Neil Robertson v Jack Lisowski
