Toronto open Super 8s with three away games

Toronto Wolfpack will start with three consecutive away fixtures in the Kingstone Press League 1 Super 8s as they look to clinch promotion to the Championship at the first attempt.

The Canadian newcomers have won all 15 games in the regular league season, finishing three points clear of Whitehaven, and need to win six of their seven games in the Qualifiers to finish the job.

Paul Rowley's men, who gained the advantage of four home fixtures after claiming a top-four finish, will open the second phase of their campaign at York on July 30, followed by trips to Workington and Keighley before hosting Newcastle, Whitehaven, Barrow and Doncaster at the Lamport Stadium.

In a change to last year's format, the team in first position at the end of the Qualifiers will go up automatically, while the second-placed team will enter a four-club play-off to determine the second promotion place.
