Jamie Ellis and Marc Sneyd eyeing kicking record

City rivals Jamie Ellis and Marc Sneyd are in a race to break the record for consecutive goal kicks in professional rugby league.

Hull KR scrum-half Ellis, who is on a season-long loan with the Championship club from Huddersfield, has succeeded with his last 37 attempts at goal while Hull FC number seven Sneyd has kicked 27 from 27 in Super League so far this year.

The record is held by another scrum-half, Liam Finn, who is now with Wakefield but kicked 41 goals consecutively while playing for Featherstone in 2012.

Sneyd will be aiming to preserve his 100 per cent record when Hull go to Wigan on Friday night while Ellis goes into Sunday's game at home to Halifax needing four to equal Finn's record.
