Warrington have not included Australian playmaker Blake Austin in their 19-man squad for the Coral Challenge Cup final against St Helens on Saturday.

The stand-off has missed the Wolves' last two matches with an ankle injury but coach Steve Price said at the start of the week he would give him until the captain's run at Wembley on Friday afternoon to prove his fitness so he could yet play.

Full-back Stefan Ratchford started the Wolves' semi-final against Hull despite not being named in the initial squad.

Price has included his other injury doubts, Ratchford, winger Josh Charnley and second rower Jack Hughes, in his squad, along with forward Sitaleki Akauola, who missed the semi-final through suspension.

The squad also includes Ben Westwood, who at 38, could become the oldest recipient of a Challenge Cup winners' medal by taking the record from prop Frank Whitcombe, who was 29 days short of his 35th birthday when Bradford won the Cup in 1948.

St Helens are without forward Matty Lees while coach Justin Holbrook recalls fit-again captain James Roby, along with Lachlan Coote, Alex Walmsley, Tom Makinson, Joseph Paulo, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Morgan Knowles after they sat out last Friday's league win at Wigan.

St Helens: Coote, Makinson, Naiqama, Percival, Grace, Lomax, Fages, Richardson, Walmsley, Roby, Thompson, McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Peyroux, Taia, Knowles, Paulo, Amor, Ashworth, Bentley.

Warrington: Ratchford, Charnley, Memo, Goodwin, King, Lineham, Patton, Hill, D Clark, Cooper, Currie, Hughes, J Clark, Murdoch-Masila, Philbin, Davis, Westwood, Livett, Akauala.
