The one of obvious interest at the bottom of the weights looks to be Striding Edge, who has come on significantly at this level lately, and it was hard not to be impressed by the manner of his easy victory last time. However this will need another massive step up and can be taken on with CONFIDE, who remains the least exposed in the field but his game York run suggests he will be getting his head in front sooner rather than later despite a 6lb rise. For the places, Hlaitan looks to be well-handicapped on his solid formbook and Variyann, who was impressive in his first two starts, gets some much needed respite in the weights.
