Hard to see past the chances of the J P McManus-owned DAWSON'S COTTAGE. The six-year-old produced a pleasing effort when second of 11 beaten ¾L in a Punchestown 2m contest on handicap debut last month. Better than his last effort suggests the six-year-old can get off the mark at the sixth time of asking at the expense of the Gordon Elliott-trained Nobel Joshua and last time out winner Magic Sea. It would come as no surprise to see an improved effort from the other McManus runner Fair Minded.
