Last Surprise is top-rated (87) and also boasts the strongest form but you'd probably be reluctant to row-in at short odds on heavy ground (is arguably vulnerable). John Dance takes on the Simon Crisford-trained runner with
Insania (the Titanium Racing Club) and with
ALENEVA (in his own silks). The latter made a striking debut at Haydock (6f, soft) and although failing to cut the mustard in the Group 3 Firth Of Clyde subsequently she did have excuses. With the wonderful benefit of hindsight that was asking an awful lot off a three and a half month break, and interestingly the winner (Rose Of Kildare) followed up in the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
