A weak-looking contest which looks to be a good oppurtunity for RETIREMENT BECKONS to get back on the winning keel. He remains on a dangerous mark and he may be one step ahead of the handicapper at this stage. Kodimoor commands respect for his recent run of victories and should be thereabouts, but his 3lb rise is of some concern. Bar his Down Royal effort Harry Speed has been consistent this season and it would be dangerous to rule out an Irish raider at this track. He should be competing for minor honours alongside Naples Bay if he can rediscover his old course form.
