Another small field contest, with all bar Special Wells having shown positive form this National Hunt season. Dica has progressed rapidly since last summer despite his advancing years, but the handicapper is now forcing him to find even more untapped reserves, whilst the November Kelso winner Chain Of Beacons will ideally be suited by a 2m trip on better ground. Therefore, MIDDLEBROW rates as the selection for Donald McCain, with this improving chaser already a C&D winner in mid November; admittedly from a 15lb lower mark.
