Impressive winner of the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February. Headgear experiment backfired when remote fourth in Supreme at Cheltenham but he's a big player based on the Newbury form.

Smart front-running hurdle/chaser at his best but he lost his way badly last term, pulling up on all 3 starts (2 chase, 1 hurdle).

Useful dual-purpose performer who ran another sound race in a competitive handicap hurdle when third of 12 in Welsh Champion at Ffos Las a fortnight ago. Should give another good account.

Half-brother to connections' very smart chaser Charbel. Progressed into a very useful novice hurdler last term, winning 4 times. Disappointed in Grade 1 final start but retains potential.

Looked good when winning a bumper and novice hurdle in 2020. Lacks experience for a race of this nature back from 11 months off but he's an exciting prospect.

Most consistent and genuine mare who resumed winning ways at Warwick (2m) in February. Good second on next 2 starts but ran poorly in Scottish Champion on final start. Been off 6 months.

Won a Grade 2 at Kempton as a novice but he has just one creditable effort to his name since. Might have needed the run on his Chepstow reappearance but others arrive with much more pressing claims.

Showed he can cope with demands of a competitive handicap when third in Fred Winter at Cheltenham in March. Didn't pull up any trees on Flat when last seen in May but each-way player back hurdling.

Fair winning novice hurdler last season. Unexposed after only 4 starts but this opening handicap mark definitely demands improvement.

Smart chaser at his best. Placed over hurdles for this yard in France over the summer. Fell over fences at Auteuil latest. Can be competitive off this mark back hurdling based on his French efforts.

Struggled a bit after hurdle debut success last season but firmly back on track when taking a well-contested 4-y-o handicap at Chepstow last month. Needs to show she can back that up now.

Useful on Flat in Germany. Juvenile hurdle winner for this yard last term and looked to be going best when falling 3 out in Chepstow handicap won by Progressive on reappearance. On same mark.

Won Taunton maiden and Musselburgh handicap in 2019/20. Not seen since well held in Grade 2 on final start that season but it'll be interesting to see if there's any confidence behind him in betting.

Forecasts

Boothill (5/2), Soaring Glory (5/1), Megan (11/2), Ajero (8/1), Leoncavallo (10/1), Progressive (12/1), Highway One O Two (16/1), Elham Valley (16/1), Wild Max (16/1), Miss Heritage (25/1), Global Citizen (25/1), Get Your Own (40/1), Bathsheba Bay (40/1), Mcgroarty (100/1)

Verdict

MEGAN was going best when coming to grief 3 out in the Chepstow handicap won by Progressive on her reappearance so might be worth giving another chance to off the same mark. Soaring Glory is sure to have a big say if reappearing in the form which saw him win the Betfair. The unbeaten Boothill is a fascinating contender, while Leoncavallo has several good efforts in competitive handicaps.
