Twice-raced winner. 22/1, much improved from debut when won 8-runner minor event at York (7f, good) 47 days ago, leading 2f out. Had littlle to spare and may find this tough under a penalty.
11/1, shaped encouragingly despite being green virtually throughout when third of 7 in maiden at Ayr (8f, good) on debut 24 days ago, never nearer. Open to improvement.
Foaled May 3. 10,000 gns foal, Lawman gelding. Dam lightly-raced half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Tazahum out of useful 2-y-o 7f winner Huja.
Twice-raced maiden. Improved from debut when second of 8 in minor event at Lingfield (8f, AW, 7/4) 17 days ago, rallying when headed well inside final 1f. Difficult to oppose.
Once-raced maiden. Fifth of 7 in maiden at Ayr (8f, good, 5/1) on debut 24 days ago, not quicken from 2f out. Likely to need more time/distance.
Once-raced maiden. Failed to see his race out on debut when tenth of 11 in maiden (14/1) at Lingfield (8f, AW) 31 days ago, weakening 3f out. Must improve.
Twice-raced maiden. Showed more than first time up over 1f longer trip when fourth of 13 in minor event (50/1) at this C&D 21 days ago, still showing signs of greenness.
Foaled March 19. 32,000 gns yearling, Awtaad filly. Dam, 11.6f/1½m winner, sister to smart 1¼m winner Glorious Protector. Interesting newcomer.
Ivynator (5/4), Lenny's Spirit (5/1), Berry Edge (6/1), Rising Moon (6/1), Smart Qibili (13/2), Norman Kindu (16/1), Silver Shade (28/1), Dr T J Eckleburg (50/1)
IVYNATOR progressed as expected from his debut when runner-up at Lingfield earlier this month. That sets a fairly useful standard, and a reproduction of that effort should be enough for him to get his head in front here. Berry Edge is open to improvement having shaped well when third on his debut at Ayr so gets the nod for second, ahead of York winner Lenny's Spirit.
