Class 6  |   6f 6y  |   7 Runners  |   Turf

Off time: -  |   Winning time: -

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-11  |  J: J Fanning |  T: M Johnston|  OR: 61

Solid second here over C&D on easy ground two starts ago but not as good when last of seven in Catterick novice (6f) last month. Steps into handicap company off fair opening mark. Some claims.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-7  |  J: G Lee |  T: Katie Scott|  OR: 57

Rare juvenile for jumps yard who didn't step up from modest debut effort when 8L sixth in C&D maiden last month. Looks to need more on nursery bow.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-6  |  J: Nathan Evans |  T: M W Easterby|  OR: 56

Failed to stay this trip on debut but didn't put a step forward when 5L sixth at Beverley (5f, good to firm) in late July. Needs to find plenty on nursery debut.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-4  |  J: Barry McHugh |  T: Adrian Nicholls|  OR: 54

Mustajeeb gelding. Found wanting on both starts to date, finding no improvement when down the field in 7f Ayr novice contest last month. Likely to find this level tough too.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: Jamie Gormley |  T: I Jardine|  OR: 53

Offers some of the most experience in the field with four runs to date, offering little in each. Latest 9L defeat on nursery bow at Redcar (5f) leaves him vulnerable.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2  |  J: A Mullen |  T: S G West|  OR: 52

Showed little to nothing in first two starts but found marked improvement when third in 6f Newcastle novice last time. Into this company off lenient mark. Considered.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2  |  J: T Eaves |  T: P A Kirby|  OR: 52

Failed to figure in all three starts to date and didn't beat a single rival home when last of 10 at Ripon (6f) in early July. Enters this company with a mountain to climb.

Better By Far (7/4), One For The Ladies (3/1), Katty D (6/1), Spartakos (7/1), Five And Dime (8/1), Little Chance (10/1), Mont Blanc (16/1)

In not the most strongest renewals for a nursery, LITTLE CHANCE does not reflect her namesake and has a good opportunity to back up a recent promising effort. While she will need to prove that wasn't a fluke, her third in a good Newcastle novice last time out looks to be the best form on offer. Top-weight Better By Far should be closely matched if replicating her previous good C&D form, but has failed to beat a single rival either side of that, while the likes of Spartakos and One For The Ladies struggled in higher company and will find this easier, but still need to find plenty on ratings.
