Jordan Electrics Handicap
Class 4 | 6f | Soft | 11 Runners | Turf
Off time: 14:45 | Winning time: 1m 16.26s
Placed second on both turf starts this season most recently when 1L second over this trip at Ripon (good) last month. Races off a 2lb higher mark here and is one to note in this contest.
C&D winner has finished well beaten on both starts this campaign including when 23L last of 11 over this C&D on soft going a month ago. Others hold more obvious claims.
Finished runner-up on his last two starts including when beaten 1¼L in a soft ground handicap over this C&D a month ago. Looks likely to run well and has won over this C&D in the past.
Followed up a C&D victory on good ground here in a first time visor (retained since) with a decent 2½L third off this mark on good-to-firm going last time out. Remains open to improvement.
Victorious three times on the all-weather this campaign including over this trip at Kempton last month. Raised 6lb for that triumph and interesting to see how he fares on his first turf start since last August.
Well beaten fourth in a soft ground 6f handicap over this trip at Haydock a month ago. Making just her second handicap start that day but others hold more obvious claims at present.
Impressive 7L winner of a 6f handicap at Thirsk (good-to-soft) at the end of June and put a below par effort over 7f behind her when third over this trip at Ripon (good) last time out. Races off a mark 11lb higher than for that Thirsk success.
Placed third in a maiden over this trip at Leicester (good-to-firm) in June and this drop in trip is a positive following a 5L ninth over an extended 7f at Beverley (good-to-firm) on last months handicap debut.
C&D winner has finished held on all three starts this season including when eighth over 7f at Wolverhampton recently. Drop in trip no issue but likely to find a few too good.
Failed to build on a promising 2L second over 7f here last month when finishing mid-division in a competitive event over this trip at Goodwood (good-to-firm) at the weekend. Market support would be notable having won over C&D in the past.
Both previous wins have come on the all-weather including when victorious by 3L over this distance at Newcastle last time out. Placed second on both turf starts this season and is interesting despite a 6lb rise in the weights.
