Placed behind some useful types in bumpers/novices but very disappointing effort at Ascot last time out (when well fancied) now needs forgiving; this ground still something of an unknown and on balance, others make a little more appeal.

Back to winning ways at Warwick last time out, just doing enough to hold on; up 4lb for that which is fair, as form may not be that strong, but handles heavy ground well and given he's in good heart, should have a part to play.

Only had the three starts so open to improvement, placed last two starts on heavy ground but in truth a bit disappointing latest; tongue-tie goes on, which may remedy the situation, and if it does, he could be a player.

Having his second start for Fiona Shaw today (formerly with Philip Hobbs), becoming hard to win with and although now on an attractive mark, isn't showing enough to be of interest at present.

Steady improvement in his our starts to date and there was plenty of promise in his second at Exeter last time; that came in heavy ground as well, so should handle conditions, and with improvement likely, looks to hold a solid chance.

Winner on the Flat in Ireland before joining this yard at the beginning of the season; placed twice in novice hurdles and open to improvement but opening mark looks stiff enough; useful apprentice takes off some of that, so not discounted.

Useful on the Flat (enjoyed plenty of cut) and has made the transition to hurdles well, winning at Plumpton in January and placed on her other two starts; could do with tidying up her technique a bit, but chance is there to see.

Not seen out since finishing down the field at Market Rasen back in the December of 2018, so every chance he'll need this run, and it's debatable whether heavy ground is really what he wants anyway; others readily make more appeal.

Faustinovick (5/2), Jaisalmer (5/1), White Chocolate (5/1), Hit The Rocks (6/1), Captain Blackpearl (6/1), Flagrant Delitiep (6/1), Keel Over (14/1), Show On The Road (16/1)

Attritional conditions look the order of the day at Sandown today, and it could be a case of last man standing for many of today's contests. Captain Blackpearl has form on deep ground and could do better now tried in a tongue-tie, and if White Chocolate keeps improving her jumping technique then she will have a part to play. Jaisalmer has the form in the bank but FLAGRANT DELLTIEP has scope for plenty of improvement and is proven in the ground.
  1. Flagrant Delitiep
  2. Jaisalmer
  3. White Chocolate
