Stiff task when tailed off on first run over fences but was a different proposition on handicap debut at Lingfield on heavy ground last week when hacking up by 8L. 3lb well in despite his penalty and sure to play a prominently role.
Has taken well to chasing and two from three at this track including a win over hurdles last season. Jumped left up the home straight when winning at Leicester last time so returning here should suit and 3lb rise perfectly fair.
Still a maiden over fences though runner-up twice at this course. First time visor replaces usual cheekpieces and they will need to eke out some improvement against a pair of in-form rivals.
Returned to current trainer after a spell with Gary Moore and straight back to his best with an encouraging 4L second over 2m3f here recently. This drop down in distance isn't a worry and claims if he is able to build on that comeback.
Both wins over fences have been gained here but they were on good and good to soft and has generally struggled on heavy ground. Tailed off at Fontwell over Christmas and bit to prove at present.
Poor maiden who was nibbled at in the market but still finished 40L behind Vicenzo Mio latest on the first time he has competed the course over fences. Hard to make a case for.
Has yet to show any form over various trips including twice over fences and impossible to fancy from 14lb out of the weights.
