Improving with racing and finished a good third in a maiden hurdle over this trip at Ascot (heavy) last month. Step up in trip appeared to suit that day and he is one for the shortlist in this race.
Placed in a couple of point-to-point race last campaign but has struggled in two starts for this stable under Rules including when beaten 78L over an extended 2m2f in a maiden hurdle on soft ground here last month. Others make more appeal.
Beaten 22L when third in a Grade 2 novice hurdle over an extended 2m3f at Chepstow (good-to-soft) in October. Tongue tie (retained) tried when 12L fourth to a useful looking rival over the same C&D subsequently. Leading contender in this race.
Promising 12L third in a bumper over an extended 1m7f at Wincanton (good-to-soft) last March. Fair 25L sixth on hurdles and seasonal debut over an extended 2m4f at Newbury (good-to-soft) in November and remains open to improvement.
Bumper winner on soft ground in 2017 but has had just four starts since most recently when 7L second over an extended 2m3f at Doncaster (soft) just under two years ago. One to note on return from a lengthy absence.
Fair effort when finishing 23L fifth in a novice race over an extended 2m4f at Market Rasen (soft) on racecourse and hurdling debut early last month. Improvement needed if he's to take this race however.
Placed once from nine starts in point-to-point races and finished well beaten at Taunton (2m3f, soft) in a novice hurdle on her belated Rules debut last month. Others make more appeal with a hood tried for the first time in this event.
