Won her first two races, virtually making all on both occasions at Southwell last April; upped in class and found out in Listed event in France in May; first-time blinkers applied and likely to try to make all; respected.

Plenty of solid efforts in defeat in the autumn; last seen when runner-up at Bath in October; a little to find with a few of these rivals but should run his race.

Has finished closer to last than first on all his racecourse appearances and difficult to see where the improvement will come from on first run since April.

Has generally struggled in varying class levels and ran her best race in a seller at Wolverhampton which may prove to be her level; hard to see her being involved in the finish.

Cost 9,000 guineas as a yearling; first foal related to some fairly useful AW performers; will probably need further in time; worth a check in the market on debut.

Verdict

IVATHEENGINE did little wrong last season, running well in a decent race at Chepstow before winning at Windsor in May. A reproduction of his latter performance may see him being hard to beat given he is receiving weight from his most obvious challenger Littledidyouknow. Archie Watson's filly was also in great form last season winning twice before being unable to cope in Listed class in France on her final start. It should prove an interesting battle between the pair with the former being the slight preference. Amarillo Star may prove to be the best of the rest and has the benefit of a recent run under his belt.
