- 1m 7f 169y, Soft (Good to Soft in places)
- 10 Runners
- Surface: Turf
Highly tried last couple of starts, both in Graded/Listed company and will find this easier; saying that, she's not progressing at present and does need to get back on track. Trip and likely ground both fine.
Finished behind Diamond Gait at Wetherby last time, but won a couple of competitive handicaps last year (including one over C&D) and looks on a fair mark; yard just starting to fire and she could take a hand in the finish.
Looked a useful prospect when taking a novice hurdle here last year and came right back to form when second at Hereford last time, possibly bumping into a useful one; this trip a slight concern (better over further) but it looks the right race.
Winner at Catterick in March and ran to that level at Aintree when last seen out in May, tried to make all but ran down late; repeat of that puts her in the firing line, and fitness unlikely to be an issue coming from the yard she does.
Outclassed (but not disgraced) behind Saint Calvados at Cheltenham last time and will find this more her level; back on the same mark as when successful in a chase at Market Rasen in August and with conditions fine, isn't discounted.
Showed much improved form to win at Hereford last time out, travelling well and pulling clear in the closing stages; handicapper gives her an 8lb rise for that, which looks entirely justified, and she's probably not finished improving yet.
Her third to the useful Red Force One at Fakenham two starts ago is a good piece of form at this level and it's encouraging she ran to it again last time out too. Might not want the ground too deep but clear chances here.
Winner at Hexham in the summer and probably wasn't done with when falling at Hereford last time out (Darling Du Large the winner). Hard to totally pin down her chance but mark fair enough, and she is capable if getting an easy lead.
Twice successful over longer trips in the spring but the handicapper took action and she's found life harder since then; this trip probably on the short side for her, and she may need it after a break. Others make more appeal.
Well backed to score o debut for new yard at Sedgefield on latest start but she was easily brushed aside and was most disappointing; suspicion is they will turn her fortunes around at some point, but it takes a leap of faith to be with her today.
